About Apex Sports

Apex Sports is the sports turf management division of the Green Blade Group. From grassroots football pitches to county standard cricket squares, outfields and international equestrian arenas, we provide the expertise, equipment, and care that high-performance playing surfaces demand.

We work with sports clubs, schools, local authorities, academies, and private facilities — delivering pitch construction, drainage schemes, seasonal renovation, and ongoing maintenance programmes that keep surfaces playing well and looking the part throughout the season and beyond.

Our Services

Pitch Construction & Establishment

Pitch Construction, resurfacing, and full drainage installations for football, rugby, cricket, and multi-use applications. We work from initial design through to seeding, establishment, and handover — building the surface right from the ground up.

Seasonal Renovation

End-of-season and pre-season renovation is the foundation of a well-performing pitch. Our programmes include deep scarification, Deep solid-tine, hollow-core and linear aeration, overseeding with sport-specific seed mixes, top-dressing, and level restoration.

Cricket Square Management

Specialist care for cricket squares at all levels — from club and school facilities to county-standard Cricket square renovation. We manage the full seasonal programme including winter preparation, spring works, pitch preparation for match days, end-of-season renovation, and cover management.

Equestrian Arena & Paddock Management

Surface maintenance and management for equestrian arenas and outdoor exercise areas — including grass paddock management, surface grading, drainage, and seasonal preparation for competition and training use.

Pitch Maintenance & Line Marking

Regular mowing at the correct height of cut, GPS Robot or string-line marking, pre-match grooming, goal post installation, net setup, and reactive repairs. We keep pitches safe, consistent, and match-ready throughout the season.

Agronomic Monitoring & Advice

Proactive monitoring of wear patterns, drainage performance, compaction, and turf health — supported by regular site inspections, prompt remedial works, and usage-based planning to extend pitch life and reduce costly downtime. We give you the agronomic advice to make informed decisions about your surface.
